Types of Massage

Deep Tissue

A popular form of massage therapy that address the deeper most layers of the muscles to treat chronic aches and pain. Specific deep tissue techniques are used to break up scar tissue and break down muscle adhesions.

INDICATIONS: fibromyalgia, arthritis, sciatica, migraine, TMJ, back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, leg pain, limited range of motion.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is a gentle constant massage technique that decreases tension in the fascia tissue. Tension in tissue forms restrictive barriers or trigger points that cause tightness and pain.

INDICATIONS: physical trauma, scarring from surgery, inflammation, osteoarthritis, bursitis, plantar fasciitis

Neuromuscular

Specialized form of massage therapy that focuses on specific issues concerning both the muscular and nervous systems by using a variety of techniques.

INDICATIONS: multiple sclerosis, parkinson’s disease, arthritis, muscular dysfunctions, muscle adhesions, muscle spasms, trigger points

Lymphatic Drainage

A form of gentle massage that encourages the drainage of lymph nodes and movement of lymph fluid through the body. This will alleviate pain and pressure around muscles and joints.

INDICATIONS: lymphedema, headaches, soreness/stiffness, infections, post-surgery swelling, skin changes, fatigue, can help with weight loss

Swedish

Most common type of massage that is meant to be relaxing and calming. The techniques used are designed to address the uppermost superficial layers of the muscles.

INDICATIONS: anxiety, stress, depression, poor circulation, sore muscles, fatigue, poor sleep, stiff joints

Sports Massage

Focuses on soft tissue manipulation correcting imbalances caused by athletic performance. A type of massage therapy that is designed to help athletes and active individuals improve their performance, prevent injury, and reduce muscle soreness.

INDICATIONS: anyone engaging in regular physical activity, or repetitive movement

About Tea

Owner "Tea" is a Certified Advanced Neuromuscular Massage Therapist (ANMT) with over 10 years of experience. She has a passion for helping people feel better. Her desire to heal and comfort others started at an early age and has been a driving force throughout her life. After being laid off from her healthcare job in 2008, she saw an opportunity to pursue a career that would allow her to do what she loves most, help people. She chose to attend the National Holistic Institute, the best and most recognized school for the healing art of massage therapy. She wanted to receive advanced education and training in order to provide a broader scope of practice that sets her apart from the average certified massage therapist (CMT).

What will I need to provide/prepare for my in-home massage?

To ensure a smooth and relaxing massage experience, please prepare a clean and clutter-free space, and a clean set of sheets for the massage table (twin or full-sized: 1 top, 1 fitted, 1 pillowcase).

Also, if this is your first session; please print, complete, and sign the client Intake Form and Liability Form prior to your appointment .

How much does a massage session cost?

  • 60 minutes: $120

  • 90 minutes: $160
